American Custom Drying Company (ACD) announced the construction of a
$500,000 new packaging room for its 4,000lbs/hr food ingredient spray
dryer. Paul McFarland, Manager of Product Development advised, The new
clean room includes dedicated, positive pressure HVAC, a dust-control
system, and all food-grade surfaces. Packaging capabilities at ACD
include 50 lb. bags, boxes, pails, drums, and super sacks in a cGMP
environment, including a metal detector for finished product validation,
according to McFarland.

commitment to serving the food industry and its increased focus on HACCP
procedures.
American Custom Drying Company is a privately owned company providing
custom spray-drying and blending services to Fortune 500 companies in the
chemical and food industries. The company offers contract processing
services of two large production spray dryers as well as services of
dryers for testing, market trials and scale-up projects from its pilot
plant facility. ACD is ISO 9001:2000 Certified for the manufacture of
spray-dried products for the chemical industry and has kosher
certification for food products.
